Welcome to Lingo Llama (“the App”), owned and operated by Lingo Llama, a Sole Proprietorship, registered in the Netherlands (Registration number: 91077001). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Lingo Llama mobile application and website (https://lingollama.net/). By registering an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Account Registration
- You must register an account to access certain features of the App. Users can create an account using the available registration methods, which may include email and third-party authentication services.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- If you wish to delete your account, this can be done at any time through the account settings in the app. For details on data deletion, refer to our Personal Data Page.
2. Subscriptions and Pricing
- Lingo Llama offers subscription plans, including monthly and yearly options. Pricing varies by region and is subject to change. The current prices for your region will be displayed in the app during the subscription process.
- Price Changes: Lingo Llama reserves the right to change subscription prices. If a price change occurs, you will be notified before the next billing cycle. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.
3. Auto-Renewal and Cancellation
- All subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple or Google account. You can manage your subscriptions in the app.
- If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not offered.

4. Free Trials
- The yearly subscription offers a 1-week free trial. You won’t be charged until the trial ends, at which point the subscription will automatically start unless canceled before the trial period ends. Free trials are subject to the terms and policies of Apple and Google.
5. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Actions
- Users must use the app responsibly and are prohibited from:
- Engaging in illegal activities through the app.
- Reverse-engineering or tampering with the app.
- Providing false information during account registration.
- Attempting to access non-public areas of the app.
6. Intellectual Property
- Lingo Llama owns all intellectual property rights related to the app, including the brand name, logos, designs, and educational content, unless otherwise stated for third-party content.
- You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute Lingo Llama’s content without explicit permission.
- Third-Party Content: Lingo Llama embeds YouTube videos under YouTube’s standard embedding features. For more information on how we use YouTube content, please refer to our FAQ page.
7. Third-Party Links and Content
- Lingo Llama contains links to third-party websites such as YouTube and JustWatch. We do not control the content or services provided by these third parties and are not responsible for their content or any issues that arise from using these services.
8. Account Termination
- Lingo Llama reserves the right to terminate or suspend accounts for violations of these Terms or any other inappropriate activity. Upon termination, users lose access to their subscription without refund.
- Data will be deleted according to our privacy policy and retained only if necessary for legal purposes.
9. Limitation of Liability
- Lingo Llama is not liable for any interruptions in service, such as app downtime, technical issues, or the unavailability of YouTube videos or other third-party services.
- Lingo Llama is not responsible for any damages, direct or indirect, arising from the use of third-party content or services (such as YouTube or JustWatch).
- We do not guarantee specific language learning outcomes from using our service. Use of the app is at your own risk.
10. Warranties and Disclaimers
- Lingo Llama provides its services “as is” without warranties of any kind, including the availability or accuracy of the content. We do not warrant that the app will meet your expectations or be free from errors.
11. Modifications to the Terms
- Lingo Llama may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to users via email or in-app notifications. By continuing to use the app after changes are made, you agree to the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.
